What Personal Data We Collect and Why

– Web Analytics & Cookies
As an important part of our efforts to create a user-friendly website, we analyze the usage patterns of our site visitors. To analyze this information, we use the Google Analytics tool.

Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files stored on the user’s computer), which register users’ IP addresses and provide information about each user’s activity online. Examples of what this data helps us understand include: how many people visit different pages, how long each visit lasts, where visitors come from, and which browsers are used. None of these cookies allow us to link data about your use of the website to you as an individual. Data related to cookies is automatically deleted 14 months after collection. You can manage your cookie settings yourself.

The information collected by Google Analytics is stored on Google’s servers in the USA and is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

An IP address is considered personal data because it can be traced back to specific hardware and thus to an individual. We anonymize users’ IP addresses before the data is stored and processed by Google, which means the anonymized IP address cannot be used to identify individual users.

Your IP address is also briefly logged by our web servers. The user’s IP address, timestamp, URL, HTTP status, number of bytes sent, HTTP referer, and HTTP user agent are logged for 15 days. After this, the logs are automatically deleted.
